Cloudera's Competitive and Technical Marketing Group is expanding and looking for a rock-star Competitive Marketing Analyst to support critical Product, Marketing and Sales initiatives.
You:

Excel at building reports, presentations and presenting to different levels from peers to executives
Your responsibilities will include:
Gather, analyze, and synthesize information about big data, analytics, and related tech markets, focusing on existing and emerging competitive landscapes
Perform qualitative and quantitative research to better understand our competitors in terms of offerings, roadmap, strategy, messaging, and GTM strategies.
Develop up-to-date tools (battlecards, competitive responses, internal and external presentations) to increase our competitive win rate
Attend key competitor & industry events, analyze press coverage and announcements and report on meaningful findings
Brief various teams at Cloudera on competitors:
Product teams on competitive threats and technologies
Marketing/PR on competitive messaging and positioning issues
Sales on competitive tools and programs to drive up our win rate
Qualifications
3+ years in product marketing and/or competitive intelligence
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual), both for internal audiences and customer-facing messaging
Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated capabilities interpreting data and qualitative info and distilling into actionable key takeaways
Excellent competitive messaging and positioning skills at both business and technical levels (working with technical subject matter experts)
Background in enterprise software, open source, big data analytics is a plus
Strong internal communicator and collaborator
Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done
