Job Description:

The Director, Advanced Attorney Services is responsible for operational oversight of Epiq’s Advanced Attorney Services offering. The director will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction of the service offering, as well as direct management of the staff that will support these services. The offering expands the business of Document Review Services beyond First Pass Review to provide higher value services to Epiq’s clients, including, but not limited to: early-case data interrogation, custodial interviews, second-level review, deposition support, preparation and summary, motion practice support, witness and trial preparation, appellate research, and overall case management. The offering may also include the development and oversight of dedicated attorney teams to handle certain types of repeatable and standardized litigation matters for corporate clients. For these matters, the Epiq team would work under the direction of the client’s outside or corporate counsel. The Director serves as a subject matter expert, supporting Sales and go-to-market activities. Finally, the Director serves an escalation point and a key contributor to the development of client relationships.

Responsibilities



  • Manage Epiq staff attorneys that support Advanced Attorney Services engagements




  • Provide leadership to develop and motivate team members, enabling them to assume additional responsibilities and growth opportunities within the organization




  • Participate in annual performance reviews and define objectives for team members




  • Lead by example on the training and on-boarding of new team members to ensure they are appropriately oriented to Epiq protocols, standards, and technology




  • Develop and maintain default processes and best practices




  • Provide thought leadership and participate in industry conferences – keep abreast of new methods, market trends and technologies




  • Works closely with the Epiq sales team and other partners (Client Services, Operations, Advanced Technologies, Product Management, Product Development, Finance, Human Resources, and Sales)



Qualifications



  • Juris Doctorate (JD) or Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree




  • Minimum of five (10) years industry experience




  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel




  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills




  • Excellent issue spotting and problem-solving skills




  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail




  • Willingness to go above and beyond expectations




  • Strong track record of consistent performance #LI-DNI
