Job Title: Receiving Associate

Department: Store Operations

Reports To: Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Efficiently and accurately receive incoming freightReport purchase order discrepanciesCreate purchase orders when neededResponsible for unloading carriersSort and stage incoming freight on U-boatsEnsure that receiving is maintained in a neat, clean, and organized mannerFoster a safe and productive work environmentDiligent in protecting company assetsFollow all SOP guidelines and company policiesOther duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications
Must be sixteen years of age or overBasic Computer KnowledgeReading, Comprehension and Writing Skills


Preferred Qualifications

High school Diploma or equivalentPrevious retail experience
Familiar with safety protocolsKnowledge of inventory control and loss prevention

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.The position does require frequent lifting of merchandise.It is expected that the employee lift safely, using proper body mechanics and lifting devices. When lifting heavy items, up to 50 pounds, a team lift may be required.
