Summary


Granite City Electric is looking to hire a Administrative Assistant for our Pricing Department, located in our Plymouth, MA location. This is an entry level position, no experience necessary, we will train! The position is responsible for providing support to the Pricing Team and performing system modifications, updates, and loading of price file details. The Administrative Assistant will also develop and execute reports and analysis as needed.


Essential Functions



  1. Update and maintain vendor pricing in Eclipse ERP system. Track future vendor price adjustments and communicate to internal stakeholders.

  2. Perform supplier price claim submittals. Generate analysis of supplier price claim performance. Participate in claim reconciliation activities.

  3. Perform customer, product, and matrix pricing maintenance activities.

  4. Generate monthly and ad hoc reports, including customer and product segment performance.

  5. Review and investigate uncompetitive pricing feedback provided by Sales.

  6. Respond to department inquiries from internal customers.

  7. Support new projects and initiatives.

  8. Performs other related duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, distribution office/showroom setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.


Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is an hourly, full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


This is largely a stationary role but involves climbing stairs in many of our branch locations; however, some material management and filing is required. This would require the ability to open filing cabinets. The employee may be required to sit for long periods of time but will also be expected to do on-site/field work such as meetings.


Travel

Some regional travel will be required.


Education and/or Experience



  • Associate degree in Statistics, Marketing, Business Administration, or Finance

  • Knowledge of electrical industry, distribution, or products preferred.

  • Prior experience with Epicor Eclipse Solar or E-Term preferred.

  • Intermediate to advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel.

  • Previous experience with Microsoft Power BI or other business intelligence platforms.

  • Equivalent education or experience may be substituted for any of the above.
