Sales Agronomist

As a Sales Agronomist you will work with current and prospective customers to establish trusting relationships and offer solutions for their farms. You will focus on seed, chemical, fertilizer, and precision ag as well as our customer application services. This role will provide crop consulting as well as retail sales services. You will have a list of established customers as well as a list of prospects throughout the trade area.

Responsibilities:

• Making sales calls to current and prospective customers while building and maintaining a positive working relationship


• Assist growers with developing a farm plan for the year


• Ordering seed and receiving inventory


• Sorting and delivering seed


• Operating the seed treater


• Crop scouting


• Make sound agronomic recommendations to help the producer improve their operation


• Identify and attend appropriate training and continuing education opportunities


• Possess and maintain knowledge of agronomy related products and programs in the ag industry


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Agronomy/Agriculture or closely related field

OR

• 2+ years related experience working with farmers and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.


• Previous agriculture sales background and experience preferred
