JOB PURPOSE
The Assistant Transportation Manager will be responsible for coordinating and assisting department management with the continuous use and monitoring of company vehicles and equipment assigned. Capable of performing audits, collecting and analyzing data in any transportation area.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
*Auditing SOPs in the transportation / truck wash departments in the field as needed or directed.
*Collect and/or analyze data as directed by department management or needs.
*Gather and maintain information including location, use, and application of assigned company vehicles and equipment.
*Review truck, trailer, equipment and other vehicle specifications and make recommendations as needed.
*Assist in tracking the cost of fuel, repairs & maintenance, both internal and external shop costs; data includes but not limited to mile, hour, load, etc.
*Assist with the purchasing processes of new equipment, replacement, roll down and roll out vehicles including working with other departments such as production and accounting when needed or directed.
*Review cost statements and identify opportunities within all transportation and truck wash cost centers.

REQUIREMENTS

*Bachelor's Degree; or four to six years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
*A valid driver's license is required and acceptable MVR. Class A CDL Preferred, but not required.
