Key Responsibilities

• To comply with all MSHA, and company safety and environmental requirements in the performance of the job.


• Ensuring spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces


• Washing and sanitizing toilets, sinks and showers and restocking disposables


• Report major damages and oversee repairs


• Using ladders, dusts and washes walls, cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures.


• Dusts, washes and replaces blinds.


• Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas.


• May remove stains from surfaces such as rugs, drapes, walls and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions.


• Uses the appropriate cleaning agents and equipment for cleaning, and labels all cleaning solutions correctly as per MSDS guidelines.


• Wears and uses proper PPE.


• Demonstrated ability to keep closets clean and orderly.


• Maintains schedule of water filter/coffee pot filter replacement.


• Supervises water delivery services


• Cleans and maintains the refrigerators, microwave ovens, kitchen areas.


• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using industrial vacuum cleaners, scrubbing and buffing machines.

Education

• High school diploma is preferred but not required

Qualifications

• Prefer two years of industrial electrical maintenance and/or instrument technician experience with a process flow type manufacturing environment

Requirements

•  Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities and must meet qualifications required for this position.


•  Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a similar role


•  Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances


• Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components


• Attention to detail and conscientiousness
