POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the direct supervision of the Property Manager and/or the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for carrying out all assigned daily work orders towards general grounds keeping including; weed trimming, pruning and trimming landscaping, hand weeding landscape beds, pre-emergent and fertilization (broadcast granular material only) and weed spraying (if candidate holds a non-commercial applicator license and other duties as needed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for completion of all work assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Must be able to perform high quality workmanship in all tasks assigned in a timely and effective manner.
Must be able to multitask.
Ability to communicate with other departments and YMCA guests in a courteous and timely manner.
Scope of work includes weed trimming, mowing, pruning and trimming of landscaping beds, planting landscaping beds.
Restrictions if under 18 years old:

Allowed to operate hand and backpack blowers, mowers and weed trimmers.
Under no circumstances will a staff person under 18 years old operate any moving vehicle (automobile, van, truck, pickup, tractor, gator, Bobcat, ATV, UTV, golf cart, etc).

Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
? Must be at least 16 years old
? Must be able to follow and understand directions
