Job Description:

AT&T and TPG signed an agreement to form a new entity, DIRECTV, which will own and operate AT&T’s U.S. video unit consisting of DIRECTV (consumer and business satellite services), AT&T TV and U-verse TV (excluding U-verse network assets). When the transaction closes, the job you are applying for will become part of the New DIRECTV.  Transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2021.  Until closing, this role will be a part of AT&T’s U.S. video unit. Overall Purpose: Responsible for the analysis and interpretation of existing and upcoming tax legislation (federal, state, local and foreign) to identify opportunities to minimize the organizations legal tax liabilities.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities: Conducts research to advise management of the tax implications of activities. Preparation and filing of the tax returns required under federal, state, local and applicable foreign tax laws and regulations. Responsible for meeting all required deadlines. Conducts and documents moderately complex tax audits. Works on extremely complex taxation related problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors.

 

Job Contribution: Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.

 

Experience: Typically requires 5-7 years experience. Supervisory: No.
