Lend your skills to provide Advisory & Assistance Services (A&AS) expertise for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in support of the Research and Development (RD) Directorate. RD provides programmatic, financial and policy expertise across the chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosives (CBRNE) spectrum and in the countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD), countering improvised threats (CIT) and countering improvised threat networks (CTN) mission domains to encompass understanding, detection, identification, characterization, denial, control, disabling, defeating, disposing, safeguarding the force, managing consequences, and test and evaluation in support of military and civilian operations.
The Requirements Analyst shall assist with requirements management and technical domain (CBRNE, CWMD, CIT, CNT) support across the RD Directorate portfolio and programs during the research, development and operational phases including tracking capability requirements analyses and assessments status, decisions, issues and execution.
In this role you will....
Support & analyze consequences of the Joint Force programmatic decisions in light of enduring WMD, C-IT and CTN threat and disruptive technology capability areas.
Interact and build relationships with various DoD Components to gather information on status of strategic initiatives; compiling and analyzing data; authoring of technical papers; support to briefings and task development; and preparing reports for senior leadership.
Continue engagements with the DTRA Liaison Officers (LNOs) to the CCMDs, Fort Leonard Wood (FLW), U.S. Army Medical Department (AMEDD), and the Maneuver Support Center of Excellence (MSCoE).
Identify, trace, define, verify and validate requirements.
Synthesize large amounts of data, identifying common threads and connections.
Use data analytics/data visualization to turn complex information for senior leader decision-making and policy development.
Assist with planning, coordinating, executing, and reporting Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE) activities.
Maintain a database to track technology or disruptive capabilities, initiatives, requirements, requirements analyses, and gaps identified and/or analyzed by the S&T SME A&AS contractor.
Support the development of issue papers initiated by RD and provide response support to issue papers issued by external organizations, as required. Enhance operational utility of the RD portfolios through proactive engagement in operational events.
Experience with requirements management in the technical domain of countering weapons of mass destruction (CWMD), countering improvised threats (CIT) and countering improvised threat networks (CTN)
Experience with technical analysis and data analytics/data visualization and synthesizing large amounts of information.
Excellent written and verbal communication including the ability to translate highly technical information into more accessible language.
Knowledge of DoD 5000 series documentation preferred.
BA/BS plus 10 years of experience, MA/MBA/MS plus 8 years of experience or Doctorate plus 5 years of experience
Security Clearance Requirements:
DOD Secret clearance with ability to obtain a TS
