Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Project Manager. Primary responsibility involves the direction and supervision of two Ground Maintenance Crews.


DUTIES INCLUDE: The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.

  • Performs quality assurance to comply with the scope of work identified for ground requirements.
  • Ensures that requirements are met.
  • Ensures that proper preventive maintenance schedules are being performed.
  • Prepare daily work plans for subordinate work crews that will allow for work to be performed on a continuous basis and reduce man-hours on day-to-day paperwork.
  • Interprets blue prints in order to determine weight / fill and grades needed for the successful completion of site projects.
  • Inspects projects to insure compliance with contract and a proper timeline is being achieved.
  • Read, develop and design simple erosion control and special project schematics.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Functions as the Alternate Project Manager.

Work Conditions:

Conditions will vary. Most work will be outdoors with temperature variations. Work will consist of 35% standing, 40% walking, 5% stooping, 10% reaching, 10% lifting. Ability to perform under rugged conditions and lift up to 30 lbs. Normal Working hours are Monday-Friday 0600-1430.


Education/Experience/Skills:

  • AA / AS degree with at least five (5) years of progressive experience (two (2) of which are in a supervisory capacity). In lieu of formal education, ten (10) years related experience.
  • Demonstrates success in short and long range planning of major tasks with hands-on management experience in personnel, quality control, technical and business management, procurement, scheduling and supply.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
  • Current Alabama Driver License, Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement; Must be able to be insured through Company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of your work employment.
  • All candidates will be required to pass a consumer report and/or consumer investigation to include SSN, Driver Record and Criminal Background Investigation.
