HBT is looking for a Smart City Business Development Leader for North America, preferably based in Atlanta, GA. This role reports to the North America Premium Commercial Vertical Sales Leader, and matrix to the Global Smart City BTI Leader.
Smart Cities is an established business vertical for Honeywell in India and the Middle East, where it works with City administrations in deploying smart city solutions. It also works with Smart Communities in these regions, deploying its smart solutions for use in communities. Honeywell is rapidly expanding its presence for this vertical in North America, and is looking for an experienced Sales leader, with experience in selling smart solutions to real estate developers and other private customers. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in selling to real estate and community developers, deep experience in creating compelling value propositions and strategies to win, backed by a strong ability to build trusting relationships with people across the organization. Evidence of strong communication skills, leadership presentation and strategic thinking abilities are core requirements of this role.
This role will put a strong emphasis on growing the pipeline of Smart Community projects for Honeywell. You will need a good understanding of smart technologies and the ecosystem in North America and develop compelling propositions for how Honeywell's portfolio of software and hardware can be used to address customers challenges in a Community. You will network with industry participants to identify opportunities for Honeywell, working with customers, consultants and potential partners to establish Honeywell as a credible name in the North American Smart Community ecosystem. To this end, you will seek out speaking opportunities to represent Honeywell's viewpoint and be recognized as a thought leader in this space, leveraging HBS's strong track record in Smart Cities and Smart Buildings globally.
Identifying Smart Community opportunities relevant to Honeywell, qualifying and prioritizing them
Build cogent strategies to win important deals, and to establish a healthy Smart Community business in North America
Work with the HBS North Americas team and global Smart City team to create compelling proposals for customers
Networking with Industry stakeholders to promote the Honeywell brand as a credible player in Smart Communities
Assess Honeywell portfolio fit for the market, and advise of new features, product developments to make a stronger offering fit for the market
YOU MUST HAVE
Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales / business development customer facing role
Minimum of 5 years selling smart technologies or closely allied fields, dealing with real estate developers, community operators and other large private customers
Master's Degree in Business or Marketing
Strong business acumen and drive to achieve
Technical understanding of customer requirements
Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills
Deliver on complex problems without guidance
Deliver presentations with ease, engage audiences
