Job Description:

This position is responsible for supporting public Investor Relations, performance metrics, competitive intelligence, planning & forecasting and field finance functions. Qualified candidates must be able to work independently in a fast paced environment, be detail oriented, able to produce high quality and well written Word & PowerPoint deliverables, possess strong writing and quantitative skills, and be fluent and capable in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Must be comfortable working with large and diffuse data sets and procuring competitor data. Experience with OneStream, Oracle/Hyperion or other large ERP systems is beneficial but not required.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years' of relevant professional experience, required

  • Experience in a financial / consulting/ business position, strongly preferred

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Background in financial services a plus, but not required

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelors degree, required

  • Min GPA: 3.0, required

Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

Key Duties/

Public Investor Relations & Competitor Analysis:

  • Provide support to Public IR and executive team. Assist with script writing, presentation materials, and meeting preparation materials.

  • Conduct competitive analysis on Carlyle's peers. Identify, standardize and track public and private competitor information. Design and produce regular competitive update materials for senior executives.

  • Review SEC reporting (10Q and 10Ks) and public investor presentations as part of period end process

  • Review quarterly earnings release and earnings call script to ensure accuracy

  • Assist with preparation of Quarterly Business Review materials

  • Develop ad-hoc financial & strategic presentation materials as needed.

Fund Performance Metrics:

  • Support monthly and quarterly collection of investment activity, fundraising and AUM data used to calculate Carlyle's fund performance metrics

  • Complete or coordinate a variety of internal ad hoc data requests related to fund performance metrics

  • Assist Fund Management & Investor Relations in coordinating data for use in LP marketing and conference materials

  • Design and implement new reporting formats that add value for the executive team and other stakeholder departments

Planning, Forecasting and Field Finance:

  • Provide support across the planning cycle (i.e. review and analyze budget/forecast submissions; prepare variance analysis; summarize revenue/expense forecast drivers, year-over-year trends, financial and performance metrics, etc.)

  • Assist IS department heads with annual budget and quarterly reforecasts, and with their quarterly business review presentations
