March of Dimes is seeking a motivated entry level Graphic Designer to join the Content and Creative team. Reporting to the Associate Design Director, Designer will work alongside the Senior Designer in producing strong, solid design solutions to meet strategic goals, while consistently maintaining brand identity throughout all materials both print and digital.
Use Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) to edit and design social media assets, digital ads, email mastheads, design templates, and infographics for web.
Resize, reformat, and retouch photos and images for use in graphic design collateral under design direction from the team.
Layout of communication materials and Powerpoint presentations from existing templates for internal Marketing team, including deck creation for Senior and Executive leaders.
Work within timeline and plan out projects and execution in tight turnaround times. Designer may need to juggle multiple projects simultaneously to assist in department workflow. Need to keep projects on time, on budget, and as approved by communicating with manager/supervisor.
Use best practices to organize and prepare final files that clearly convey information related to design for proper production of both print and digital files. This includes having clearly marked files, color accuracy (RGB vs. CMYK) and proper file formats that will must be backed up daily.
Work closely with the Content and Creative team in collaboration and provide creative ideas during brainstorming.
Deliver graphic assets within a PMO platform and archive projects according to established archival process, in a timely manner, for future resources.
Keep abreast of new technologies, software and online technology literature/blogs in an effort to maintain consistency with our industry and to incorporate best practices. Strong understanding of typography and layout.
Four year college degree or equivalent experience
Design skills including design conceptualization
Highly proficient computer skills, especially use of Adobe Creative Suite applications
Some experience in graphic design
Strong understanding of typography and layout
Experience creating designs for social media platforms
Must have graphic design portfolio
Creativity and collaborative thinking
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
