The Imaging Manager is responsible for the overall operations and performance of Montefiore Medical Park Radiology (MMP) and Westchester Square Radiology. Reporting to the Unified Department Administrator of Radiology, they are responsible for management of all services provided by MMP and Westchester Square Radiology locations and function as a key liaison with the Medical Director for maintaining and building the referring network. The Imaging Manager is responsible for the hiring, training, quality oversight, safety, and overall performance of staff at MMP and Westchester Square and serves on relevant department and site-specific organizational committees. They communicate with physicians, physicists, nurses, administrators, nurse practitioners, patient advocacy representatives and various members of other clinical and administrative departments.
Responsibilities
Support development and local implementation of training curriculum and on-boarding processes.
Collaborates closely with Division Lead, QA Management, Off Campus Imaging Leadership, the Safety Office and other operations managers to ensure consistent, quality care to all patients.
Partners with the Radiology Director of Patient Experience to implement initiatives for service excellence and patient-centered Radiology at their sites; including the measurement of performance and training of staff in patient experience.
Collaborates with department administration and physician leaders on business plan development to introduce and support new clinical programs or technologies, as well as monitoring reports of overall volume, equipment utilization, market share, and other KPIs.
Leads and collaborates on specific projects as it relates to operations and process improvement.
Standardizes operating procedures and effectively troubleshoots and resolves issues as they arise. Works with the Manager for Quality and Safety to maintain existing policies and identify new policies. Ensures management and staff have knowledge of existing policies and communicates inter and intradepartmental policy and procedure changes to management and staff.
Ensures all clinical licenses and ARRT documentation are maintained and meets the guidelines and certifications for ACR, NYS DOH and Joint Commission.
Develops a collaborative relationship with key stakeholders, including other departments and physicians to obtain feedback, support, and promote the department's operational goals, and maintain the highest standards of quality care, patient safety, and customer service.
Requirements: EDUCATION, TRAINING, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS, AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Education Preferred Level: Master's Degree
Education Required Level: Bachelor's Degree
Licenses, Registrations and/or Professional Certifications required to qualify for this position:
ARRT Registered
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED including, if applicable, EQUIPMENT OPERATION
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Power Point.
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
