This position proactively manages and maintains relationships with producer partners in an assigned territory while cultivating and developing new relationships in the producer community, and with benefits purchasing decision makers at key prospects. The successful candidate will develop and execute a sales strategy for the territory resulting in attainment of specific production goals. This position will work remotely, covering a South Florida territory. Candidates in Central, FL will also be considered.
How you will make an impact:
Develops and maintains favorable relationships with brokers.
Manages and maintains new or existing relationships with key liaisons/government contacts and/or brokers/consultants to cultivate and develop new business; develops and implements sales/enrollment plans by assigned area to utilize available Delta marketing resources.
Develops and pursues a comprehensive sales strategy for top prospects.
Responsible for developing new business in assigned territory.
Cultivates prospects, initiatives and follows up on new business opportunities and closes sales to accounts.
Gathers and provide competitive intelligence to assist in competitive positioning of Delta Dental in the marketplace.
Facilitates the exchange of information and communicates the importance of accountability to internal business partners.
Oversees the generation of company's response to RFPs and resolution of RFP-related issues; submits thorough and professional information to support creation of response to RFPs to underwriting and other functional areas; participates in rate review meetings demonstrating a solid knowledge of the prospect.
Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
What we look for:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent education is preferred, but candidates with proven experience will not be excluded from consideration.
Special training and/or professional certificates may be substituted for experience.
Strong presentation skills.
Advanced negotiation skills.
Possesses virtual skills with ability to have effective communications through social media platforms.
Ability to adapt and use Salesforce and Microsoft Teams.
Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills to quickly and effectively facilitate customer problem resolution.
Proven commitment to customer service.
Strong organizational/time management and project management skills with the ability to multi-task.
Valid L&D license
Valid driver's license, ability to travel and sustain company expenses for a period of one month. Able to operate and maintain a personal car for company business in a proper, safe, and responsible manner.
