The position of Supply Technicianis located at the Hawthorne Army Depot, near the modest, west central Nevada, "High-desert, mountain-side", community of Hawthorne. Hawthorne Army Depot, known as "The Largest ammunition storage facility in the world," is centrally located near the modest community of Hawthorne, Nevada, at the base of 11,000 ft. Mt. Grant and at the south end of large and historical Walker Lake on Highway 95. We are located within a comfortable 1 to 2 hour drive of numerous communities and cities in Northern Nevada and Northern California. This position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
Responsibilities:
Processes and facilitates the effective and efficient handling and/or processing of ammunition key data element changes in LMP (ATR, IAR, MRO), denial of munitions, inventories, related logs and records. May be required to make process decisions and act in a leadership capacity during the absence of a supervisor.
Conducts detailed research, audits, and analysis of facts related to inventory , receipt control , process delivery orders, release order functions in relation to depot system wide operations Determines course of action and provides coordination to resolve variances detected.
Prepares reports for submission (i.e. Report of Survey, Inventory Adjustment Reports, Contract Data Requirement List, System Change Requests, Requests for Investigation from JMC/AMC, and Request for Identification/Disposition actions).
Monitors various job related functions (i.e. location survey, physical inventory, ATRs, RDDs, receipts Delivery Orders, catalog actions, denials, etc.). Provides technical assistance and instruction to employees in various functions in the department. Maintains files, obtain and process LMP output, and distribute listings, reports, 2-D barcode labels, etc.
Processes reconciliation actions, ammunition transfer records, denials, receipts, MROs, etc.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Two (2) years experience as Supply Clerk/Specialist required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all certifications as required by SOC's Master Training Plan.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver's license. Must also be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of government security clearance as well as a clearance through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and be favorably vetted through the NCIC III System and Common Access Card (CAC), and must pass local agency background check.
