Job Description:

Overview:

The Dialysis Technician receives direction for the delivery of patient care from the unit registered nurse, supervisor, or manager. The position is also responsible for operating dialysis equipment, communications with patients, staff, and outside organizations, observing safety procedures, and performing relief and/or project duties as related to the overall goals of the department and company. Treatments and decision-making is based on established procedures and practices.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Completion of a training program for clinical Hemodialysis Technicians - Minimum of one year paid work experience in the medical field Required Credentials: - Current Washington State Medical Assistant Hemodialysis Technician Certification (HT) - Certified Hemodialysis Technologist/ Technician (CHT) through BONENT or Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician credential (CCHT) through the NNCC within 18 months of hire date Preferred: - Experience in Pediatrics
