Join Cardno's Science and Environment team in Southern California to play an integral role in providing environmental consulting services with specialties in natural resources, cultural resources, environmental permitting and compliance and environmental liability.

Job Description:

Cardno is seeking an Archaeologist IV to assist a multidisciplinary team of accomplished environmental scientists, including engineers, biologists, ecologists, archeologists, and planners on a variety of projects in Southern California out of our Glendale, California office. Primary duties include review of utility projects for potential environmental impacts and collaboration with a large interdisciplinary team of scientists to complete clearances on a timely basis.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

> Obtain clearance through client background check to access online system (upon employment)
> Comply with all Cardno and client policies including those related to safety, anti-harassment, and drug use.
> Review client requests for environmental clearance to ensure they provide adequate information.
> Conduct desktop reviews for environmental clearance work and ensure proper reviews.

> Engagement in the process and willingness to identify process improvements to provide benefit to our client.

Basic Qualifications:

> Desire to work in a team environment

> 15 plus years of consulting experience, RPA strongly preferred.
> Bachelor degree (or higher) in Archeology or related field.
> Strongly proficient in computer software including Excel, MS word, and various Cardno and client systems.
> Strong quantitative skills.
> A willingness and ability to work a non-standard or fixed schedule to meet client needs

> Demonstrated commitment to safety
> Solid time management and follow-through skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on and manage multiple tasks/projects with tight deadlines.
> Willingness to travel and work in a variety of field conditions within California.
>Ability to exercise professional discretion and judgement.
> Ability to adapt the team and organization in a changing/dynamic environment.
> Possess an outgoing personality to network with Cardno and subcontractor staff.

> Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
> Must be physically fit and able to navigate rugged conditions on foot (day and night surveys may be required).

> Must be authorized to work in U.S. without company sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

> GIS (Arc View)

> Experience with desktop analysis for determination of field survey needs for projects
> Field survey experience including conducting geophysical surveys, and writing detailed project reports.
