Job Description Summary:

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for managing Retail Sales accounts within North America. In addition, this position will oversee and manage independent agencies and all of the agency's sales responsibilities for their accounts. This position will be responsible for reporting daily sales along with providing feedback and training as needed. This position will report to the Director of Retail Sales.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the National Sales Manager position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:

    Perform daily sales responsibilities of assigned account base
  • Create relationships with all assigned customers

  • Primary account responsibilities for sales growth and service issues as required by the customer

  • Prospecting and closing on new retail customers

  • Learn and manage relevant metrics of large customers, i.e., Advance Auto Parts and Walmart and be prepared to discuss findings with the various departments

  • Develop new customers and assist with area growth forecast

  • Manage an aggressive growth plan

  • Work directly in the field with independent sales agencies as necessary

  • Review analytics and provide communication to various departments within the organization regarding various retail performance metrics

  • Assist product management team on identifying new product needs and opportunities

  • Lead training classes for our network of customers to improve product understanding and generate additional sales through better product knowledge

  • Work Experience: Five (5) years or more of experience working within a Sales role

  • Education: High School Diploma

  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills; proficient in Outlook, Excel, Office, and PowerPoint

  • Organization Skills: Excellent organizational ability; ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed

  • Cross-functional skills: Ability to influence and collaborate with other departments in order to produce reports and training programs

  • Communication Skills: Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information; ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization; strong interpersonal skills and strong presentation skills

  • Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Excellent analytical skills and very detail-oriented; ability to read, write, type and sit for long periods of time up to 8 hours per day

  • Physical Environment: Normal office environment; potential of exposure to moving equipment, if proper safety procedures are not followed

  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 80% of the time or as needed

Preferred Requirements:

  • Education: BS or BA in related field preferred

  • Work Experience: 5 years demonstrated experience working within a Sales Manager role

  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Office, and PowerPoint

  • Driving Record: Clean driving record
