We are currently recruiting highly qualified candidates, whose background and career goals meet our needs, for the following position in our Huntsville, AL facility. Please note that due to our Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Position Title : Quality Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Supervisor is responsible for the following: Compliance - Manage the compliance team with internal/external audits; process auditors to assure compliance is maintained to customer requirements and standards, such as AS9100/ISO9001 NADCAP, ISO14001 and 5S/FOD requirements. Ensure the QMS and CCN/CAR Systems are managed and continually improved. Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions and performance management of staff ensuring objectives are met. Supervisor will also assist in conducting compliance audits. Assists the quality organization as required in gathering and analyzing data and providing recommendations on enhancing core quality procedures and promoting continual improvement.

Manage Documentation Control process to ensure that documents are managed and controlled per standards and procedures. Document control is responsible for the control and distribution of all Assembly Work Instructions, EDF's, TED's, QED's, and Redlined Work Instructions as well as some Test Procedures. Supervisor should provide recommendations on enhancing core quality procedures and promoting continual improvement within the Documentation Control process.

Ensure compliance to the Environmental Management System (EMS) per ISO14001 standard. QA Supervisor will also assist in conducting ISO14001 compliance audits. Supervisor should provide recommendations on enhancing core quality procedures and promoting continual improvement to the Environmental Management System..

Direct reports will include 4 to 6 individuals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage the compliance team with internal/external audits; process auditors to assure compliance is maintained to customer requirements and standards, such as AS9100/ISO9001 NADCAP, ISO14001

2. Manages the activities of the team and is responsible for staffing decisions and performance management of staff ensuring objectives are met.

3. Manage Documentation Control process to ensure that documents are managed and controlled per standards and procedures.

4. Manage the QMS and CCN/CAR Systems are managed and continually improved.

5. Support and drive continuous improvement efforts.

6. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor's degree, technical disciplines preferred. Technical trade school graduates with significant experience also considered.

2. Minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in a high mix / low volume manufacturing environment.

3. Lead Internal Auditor certification preferred.

4. Working knowledge of problem solving/root cause analysis (RCCA) and process improvement.

5. Capability to lead a continuous improvement culture.

6. Ability to manage departmental budgets and goals

7. Proficiency in Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
