Summary
Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.
Job Description
Performs Tig welding operation with Kovar and nickel parts within a controlled environment. utilizes fixtures and stack up to meet and hold precision specifications.
Essential Duties
Assemble/process product, parts and assemblies using hand tools, customized tooling, and/or semi-automated equipment.
Follow written process/assembly documentation.
Inspect and test parts, assemblies and product using precision measuring and testing equipment.
Adjust process within defined ranges based on measured results.
Adhere to all safety requirements.
Maintain a clean work area.
Assist in maintaining efficient material flow through the work area.
Actively participates on work area teams.
Gain a basic understanding of material logistics.
Participate in appropriate training to gain a basic understanding of several of business systems/concepts such as Demand Flow, Statistical Process Control, Process Documentation, Empowerment, Six Sigma methods, Quality and/or Cost Improvement
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Obtain and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility.
Familiar with business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
Acquire job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Works on assignments that are routine in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making.
Normally receives detailed instructions on work. Works under close supervision
