Duties

As the Loan Post Closing Specialist you will provide support in the Post-Closing Department to ensure that a comprehensive review of loan closing documentation and approvals are based upon established risk-based thresholds, credit policy and procedures. Knowledge of Commercial Loan products, documentation, systems and processes is a plus. The Loan Post Closing Specialist reviews internally prepared loan closing packages and packages prepared by outside counsel. The Loan Post Closing Specialist is responsible for adhering to stringent time frames to ensure that all required follow up and actions are completed timely.

Key Responsibilities:

    Performs detailed post-closing review of closed loan packages to determine compliance with loan approvals, bank guidelines, policy and procedures.
  • Identifies any missing or incomplete required documents.

  • Proactively communicates issues with various business units, including but not limited to Lending divisions, lending administrators, credit administrators, internal legal department and outside closing attorneys.

  • Partner with key business stakeholders to minimize risks in the end-to-end Commercial Loan process.

  • Reviews all new collateral recording (e.g. filed UCC's, recorded mortgages, insurance assignments, etc.).

  • Request property searches and UCC searches to verify previous liens released and verification of new loan filings and lien position.

  • Proactive in identifying potential risks and concerns while consulting with management to resolve issues within the guidelines established.

  • Utilize Baker Hill Commercial origination software, Ilien software and FISERV software.

  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:


  • High School diploma or equivalent; and 1 to 3 years related experience or equivalent.

  • Detail oriented. Ability to provide accurate information on critical real estate and mortgage lending documents.

  • Experience with FISERV Premier or Baker Hill a plus.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Positive attitude and can easily adapt to change.

  • Proven ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbally) with internal and external customers and work collaboratively with departmental teams to achieve desired results.

  • Well organized and possesses time management skills

  • Must be bondable.

Scheduled Hours

Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. 40.0 hours per week. Overtime as needed.
