We are looking for an Operations Project Manager to join our Pasadena or Costa Mesa Office!

The Operations Project Manager (OPM) is responsible for the execution of internal Corporate Operation project planning and execution. This includes evaluation of the problem statement, legacy process discovery, charter development, solution/improvement development in a team setting, project plan with associated budget development, deployment plan development and maintenance plan development. The OPM is responsible for the project plan and budget maintenance throughout the project lifecycle and will coordinate with other corporate resources required based on project needs.

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE INVOLVE?


  • Execute almost any size, type, and complexity of project operating independently.

  • Maintain initiative oversight, provide regular reporting, and maintain ongoing communications to senior management, stakeholders and sponsors.

  • Follow Project Management Office (PMO) standards of project execution and accountability.

  • Generate all aspects of CapEx and OpEx justification (ROI, specification and procurement).

  • Review, approve and analyze project expenditures.

  • Manage project team resource (internal and external) allocation to help maximize ROI.

  • Coordinate training development and training plan with Corporate Operations resources.

  • Coordinate deployment plan with Business Process Owner and Corporate Operations resources.

  • Develop maintenance/control plan KPI's with Business Process Owners.

  • Develop necessary SOP documentation with Business Analysts or independently based on project size and requirements.

  • Participate in solution development sprint planning and schedule management.

  • Utilize effective communication skills and problem-solving techniques to reach the desired outcome.

  • Apply best practices from one business channel to other business channels to ensure cross-collaboration.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Operations Manager and Executive Leadership.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN A CANDIDATE?


  • Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, or related field required.

  • Project Management certification encouraged.

  • Project management experience or related field required.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills and desire to see constant improvement.

  • Ability to operate independently and autonomously and yet possess the discretionary judgment to know when it is appropriate to consult with others in the organization.

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and team environment.

  • Experience interacting with various level of employees, contractors and vendors.

  • Experience identifying opportunities for business improvement and defining/measuring the success of those initiatives.

  • Strong analytical skills, documentation skills, excellent time-management and organizational habits.

  • Ability to clearly communicate and present information in leveraging data to improve operations.

  • Ability to use standard business applications (Smartsheet, Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio) to obtain/process data and develop reports.

  • Industry experience strongly preferred.

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach above shoulder height to access storage cabinets and shelves.
