Johns Manville, a leader in the Commercial/Roofing Systems is seeking motivated individuals to perform Industrial Maintenance Technicians work in the Jacksonville, FL Facility. All positions require a high school diploma or GED. We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.

Hourly Range is $26.25-30.00/hr. based on background/experience

This position is for 2nd Shift - 6P-6A (will work a 3-2-2-3 configuration -3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on , 3 days off)

Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager performs the following duties in accordance with established company procedure:

1. Make all mechanical and electrical equipment repairs.


2. Involvement in all preventative maintenance tasks.


3. Must possess the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment problems.


4. Ability to do fabrication: welding, cutting, lathe and mill operations experience.


5. Industrial Electrical troubleshooting skills are required, including motor starting circuits, contactors, overloads and interlocks. Must be well-versed in using all modes of electrical multi-meters.


6. Must be able to troubleshoot ladder logic with Allen Bradley RS software.

Qualified candidates would meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of High School diploma and 5 years' experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial manufacturing equipment w/ a mechanical background in gears, pumps, welding and an electrical background in 480V, 3 phase systems, AC/DC drives and Allen Bradley PLC.


• Candidates must be flexible and capable to work on various shifts.


• Possess previous or current maintenance leadership experience and demonstrates increased responsibility.


• SAP experience is a plus.


• Basic computer skills are necessary for this position.


• This position requires minimum supervision.


• Candidates must comply with all OSHA safety codes and standards.


• Must be able to pass a background check, and hair follicle drug screening.
