Description/Job Summary

RHD Glassport LTSR is a long-term structured residential program serving eligible adult males between the ages 18 to 65 who are residents of Allegheny County and have been diagnosed with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder, or dually-diagnosed with an intellectual disability. Residents may also have a forensic history.

Psych rehabilitation Facilitator, under the supervision of the Psych Rehab Specialist and Supervisor,will assist participants to choose, acquire, and maintain the skills they need to successfully transition in from using skills-based and strength-based techniques. Psych rehab facilitators (PRF) will assist program residents with acquiring the skills to live in the community independently through modeling, practicing, and teaching.

Full-time, part-time/PRNpositions available for the evening (3p-11p) shifts on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Occasional daylight shifts are available to provide coverage for staff paid time off.

Responsibilities/Duties

1. Promote principles of recovery and psychiatric rehabilitation with program residents and staff.


2. Provide skill-building services


3. Utilize motivational interviewing to effectively identify the member's strengths, needs, motivation, triggers, and goals in managing life circumstances.


4. Facilitate daily group and individual psych rehab activities for program residents


5. Document daily shift notes and group notes within the electronic medical record system.


6. Complete all other assigned tasks as designated by Psych Rehab Specialist and program leadership.

Required Experience

Mental health, forensic, and/or residential treatment experience preferred

Required Education

High School diploma or GED.

Required Qualifications

An associates degree, HS diploma, or GED with at least 6 monthswork experience in mental health direct service

RHD Glassport LTSR is a long-term structured residence serving 12 male residents with mental health needs as they transition from inpatient hospitalization or incarceration to a community-based treatment program.
