The Production Technician operates our chemical processes and performs production related activities, utilizing their chemical manufacturing knowledge and experience to operate and troubleshoot the plant in a safe and efficient manner.Will be required to work at any of the Northeast sites depending on business needs.</p>\n<p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Safely and efficiently operates their assigned processes to meet the day-to-day quality, production and productivity goals of ALAM.</li>\n<li>Shift work including nights and weekends with ability to work at not only the NJ facility but either ALAM facility in Upper Mount Bethel, PA.</li>\n<li>Drives a culture of \"Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time\" with their actions and their words on a daily basis</li>\n<li>Works well with other Technicians and Engineers to ensure that the experiments are done in a very safe and efficient manner</li>\n<li>Participate in monthly safety meetings and promote a safe work environment</li>\n<li>Develops work instructions or provide feedback on improving the work instructions</li>\n<li>Reviews and updates the Standard Operating Procedures</li>\n<li>Reviews and updates the Learning Resources for the processes</li>\n<li>Able to specify parts and equipments for building an experimental set-up, under the guidance of a Senior Technician or PD Engineer(s)</li>\n<li>Able to assemble equipment and build equipment skids or experimental set-ups, under the supervision & guidance of a Senior Technician or PD engineer(s)</li>\n<li>Participate in hazard analysis of a proposed experimental system and implements the recommendations of the PHA team</li>\n<li>Completes their annual personal goals to achieve the plant goals and their own personal development goals</li>\n<li>Document experimental observations carefully and be able to do simple mass balance calculations</li>\n<li>Cross-trains peers on approved functions</li>\n<li>Successfully completes all assigned trainings</li>\n<li>Actively participate on ALAM's emergency response (ER) team and ER entry team</li>\n<li>Must be and remain clean shaven at all times</li>\n<li>Ability to wear a full face tight fitting respirator and a fully encapsulated (Level A) ER suit, Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), or any other tight-fitting and/or supplied air respirators (SAR)</li>\n<li>Ability to medically pass a respiratory test and physical test in order to wear a full face respirator as required</li>\n</ul></br><strong>Required Qualifications</strong><ul>\n<li>High School diploma or GED</li>\n<li>Ability to work rotating shifts - day and/or nights</li>\n<li>Ability to medically pass a respiratory test and physical test in order to wear a full face respirator as required</li>\n<li>Fitness for duty, including but not limited to: ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders</li>\n<li>Demonstrated positive attitude and safety-first attitude</li>\n<li>Demonstrate ability to obtain proper assistance when confronted with problem</li>\n<li>Self-starter with the ability to perform well under pressure and changing priorities</li>\n</ul></br><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong><ul>\n<li>Associates Degree in Chemical Processing</li>\n<li>2+ years experience in a process operations environment as a process or production technician</li>\n<li>2+ years of chemical or other hazardous material handling</li>\n<li>Military experience with Nuclear, Electronics or Mechanical training</li>\n<li>Understanding of analytical processes for chemical processing</li>\n<li>Knowledge of root cause investigation process and methodology</li>\n<li>Knowledge of 5S and Lean manufacturing</li>\n</ul></br>","title":"Production Technician","datePosted":"2021-06-09T00:00:00-04:00","@context":"http://schema.org/"}
