Operations Manager


Management


Manages, coaches, and mentors' staff. Oversees practice staff members at multiple clinics following established standards and practices.


Responsible and accountable for facilitating clinical and clerical staff work scheduling. Performs daily functions of management of provider patient schedules. Provide open and clear communication and collaboration with the management team within SMP and SHFN as well as physicians. Provides direct support to providers daily as needed. Responsible for assuring that revenue cycle processes are compliant with all requirements for timeliness, completeness and accuracy. Assists in managing the implementation and continued use of the electronic medical records at required sites.


Assists in managing the onboarding of new providers and practices in operations and training capacities as required.


Assures that all providers and staff members are adequately trained in the use of the EMR and monitor compliance. Provides opportunities for training/retraining to all providers and staff members in collaboration with appropriate personnel.


Assures that all patient encounters, whether in person, electronically, telephone, via other communication links is achieved in professional, timely and accurate manner.


Financial


Responsible for effectively controlling practice expenses. Manager is responsible for medical and clerical supply levels, ordering and monitoring to ensure needed supplies are readily available to providers and staff. Assists in monitoring of insurance contractual relationships including knowledge of provider participation, coding and billing, financial counseling, and other processes. Review provider productivity and be able to speak to providers about their progress and or any action plan for improvement.


Regulatory


Works to establish, educate, maintain and monitor all standards required under Joint Commission. Collaborates with the Clinical Practice Manager and Senior Operations Managers to ensure all guidelines are followed and staff is adequately trained and informed.
