The Washington Trust Company is seeking ahighly organizedindividual with strong computer and communication skills and the ability to interact with both customers and Lending Officers regarding confidential loan information. This position is based out of our Centerville Road office in Warwick and supports our busy Small Business Lending Underwriting Team of professionals.
Maintain all credit files, both paper and electronic. Properly filing data into files in a timely manner.
For loans up to $250,000 originated primarily from the branch network or other sources, ensure that completed loan packages are received from prospective borrowers. Communicate with potential customer to follow up regarding missing documentation from the loan application as needed.
Maintain a log of completed applications and dates received for Reg B purposes. Log will also ensure efficiency of completing decisions on applications in a timely manner, and tracking HMDA and CRA insurances, etc. through the electronic loan system Credit Track.
Score renewals, set up new UCC-1 with closing or UCC-1 renewals both through CT Lien Solutions.
Interact closely with other departments within the bank (Loan Operations, Retail, Risk, Wealth Management, Compliance, Etc.)
Generate delinquency reports, daily securities based collateral reports, financial request letters, flood calculation forms, Small Businessmodification agreements, etc. Eventually train to prepare loan closing documentation through the Finastra/Harland loan documentation system.
Assist Loan Officers on reporting and preparation of information needed for the approval and renewal approval process.
Customer Process / Debit / Checks (Varies from recording loan payments to customer processing fees). Eventually will assist processing loan closings.
Be the WTC liaison for Vantiv, the WTC vendor for merchant servicing.
Various administrative duties as required to assist with the function of this department.
Bachelors' Degree preferred.
Previous experience and knowledge of commercial loans and bank systems a plus.
Ability to work quickly, independently, and in a highly organized manner on simultaneous projects.
Proficient Word/Excel skills. Possess the ability to learn and become proficient in computer systems such as CT Lien Solutions and Global Wave/Credit Track.
Knowledge of commercial loans and internal bank systems is preferred.
Must be professional, confident, and comfortable in speaking with bother external and internal customers.
