Essential Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages multiple Industrial Product orders (projects) from order receipt through collections and is accountable for project documentation, planning, schedule compliance, commercial and financial performance, stakeholder communication, continuous improvement of cycle-times and overall team performance.
  • Guides and directs a dedicated cross functional team that is responsible for the execution of the project while meeting and exceeding the customer's expectations of highly specified orders for centrifugal pumps and associated auxiliary equipment engineered for the oil and gas, power, industrial, pulp and paper, mining and general industry markets.
  • Identify and resolve obstacles to completing project on time and to budget. This includes identifying project performance, financial, and compliance issues or risks, and supporting plans to address them.
  • Adhere to internal and external quality standards and applicable regulations
  • Monitor and report on the status of projects including cost, timing and staffing
  • Organize project teams, assign individual responsibilities, develop project schedules, maintain project documentation and trackers, and resolve resource requirements.
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Support communications and facilitate review of deliverables in coordination with project team to ensure they meet requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of managing projects in a manufacturing environment. Must possess a track record of successfully executing multiple high-dollar, high-visibility projects.
  • Experience managing project teams of up to 4 people
  • HSD/GED is required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field is preferred
  • Uses available tools and systems to always know the status of his or her projects and is hyper-sensitive to critical path tasks and activities.
  • Utilizes formal checklists, processes, RAILs, business software and other tools to monitor and control project activities.
  • Strong negotiating skills. Able to find solutions to difficult problems in a way that's favorable to the company and fair the customer and/or vendor.
  • Generally knowledgeable of rotating equipment operation and related technology. Experienced with pumps, motors, mechanical seals and related auxiliary systems.
  • Familiar with API, HI and PIP Standards and must possess a general knowledge of centrifugal pump configurations and basic requirements, materials/metallurgy, pump testing and operation as well as associated documentation deliverables.
  • Understanding of industry purchase order terms and conditions, compliance requirements and dispute resolutions techniques.
  • Familiarity with our customers and their specifications and requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in PMI project management practices and possesses the PMP Credential.
  • Thinker who creatively finds solutions to problems and other challenges.
  • Leader/team builder who knows what it takes to execute and order and gets the best performance out of his/her team.
  • Able to communicate confidently and effectively with customer and vendors as well as the factory, operations managers and executive management.
  • The position requires visibility to controlled documents.
