The SEI Wealth Platform has a challenging career opportunity for a Senior developer with a few years of hands on work experience. This position requires a foundation of software development knowledge, and the ability to work in an Agile team environment. You should be adaptable, possess a wide range of technical skills, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements. You should be a strong 'utility' type programmer with the ability to switch context quickly and efficiently with project managers, database engineers, technical operations and other platform personnel.
What you'll do:
Develop codebased on reading and understanding business and functional requirementsfollowing the Agile process
Producehigh-quality code to meet all project deadlines and ensuring thefunctionality matches the requirements
Analyze andresolve issues found during the testing or pre-production phases of thesoftware delivery lifecycle; coordinating changes with project teamleaders and cross-work team members
Providetechnical support to project team members and responding to inquiriesregarding errors or questions about programs
Interactwith architects, technical leads, team members and project managers asrequired to address technical and schedule issues.
Suggestand implement process improvements for estimating, development and testingprocesses.
What you bring to the table:
BS Degree in Computer Science,Computer Engineering or applicable programming area of study
Minimum of 5 years prior workexperience working with an application development organization; mustdemonstrate experience delivering systems and projects from inception through implementation
Proficiencywith software development processes including quality assurance, codemanagement and Agile Development.
Proficiency in Analysis, Design,Build, and Deployment of Java applications. Experience developing solutions within an Application Container; experience developing Javaservices; Web Services is a plus
Understand Asynchronous and Synchronousmessaging. Experience with JMS, MDBs, MQ, Kafka is highly desired.
Work experience with any of thefollowing - Oracle, PL/SQL, MongoDB, Linux/UNIX; Shell programming/PERL, Groovy is a plus.
Work experience in developing WebApplications with Java 8, Java Script, HTML, JSPs. Bootstrap is a plus.
Experience with Spring MVC and/or Spring Boot; Angular development experience is a plus
Experience with Database accessmethods and simple SQL constructs. Experience with ORM tools (Hibernate,JPA) is a plus
Development toolssuch as Maven, CI/CD tools such as GIT,BitBucket
A minimum of 2 years work experience within FinancialServices industry including banking, wealth management, investmentmanagement, asset data and investment processing is preferred
