The primary responsibility of the Credit Clerk is to provide administrative support within the Credit Department and assist the Credit Coordinator in a multitude of daily tasks as needed. Additional responsibilities include:

• Clerical and administrative functions as a part of the daily credit operation


• Answering incoming customer phone calls


• Scanning/Uploading credit applications


• Acting as cash application back up


• Ensuring that credit releases are performed


• Ensuring all operational procedures are within established guidelines and deviations have prior approval from the Accounts Receivable Supervisor or Credit Manager


• Ensuring work/paper flow within the department


• Ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality

This position requires a high school graduate or equivalent. Qualified candidates will possess:

• Professional phone etiquette


• Strong computer skills with experience using all Microsoft Office Applications and data entry programs


• A high level of attention to detail and strong organization skills


• Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment


• Basic knowledge of accounting practices


• Demonstrated customer service skills


• Professional verbal and written communication skills
