The Avaya Brand Protection team is part of Avaya Law and contributes to Avaya's success by focusing on technology-enabledprocesses guided byindustry standardsand best practicesin order to protect Avaya and itscustomers & partnersfrom negative impacts ofdiscount fraud, diversion,service contract abuse, license abuse, and counterfeit products. The brand protection team efforts limits risk and exposure to customer systems, ensures a level playing field for authorized Business Partners and limits revenue leakage to Avaya.
Typically 6-10+ years of related experience in information systems/technology, security, finance, accounting, investigation or audit
Advanced and in-depth understanding of core Avaya businesses and revenue cycle
Excellent project management, problem solving, analytical and ability to execute project within the scope of overall strategies
High level of experience in sales, channel management, sales operations, brand protection, internal audit, fraud investigation, forensic accounting and litigation support &/or Intellectual Property Protection

The Brand Protection Senior Manager responsibilities may consist of the following:
Perform data analytics working with a variety of disparate data sources and sets, identify trends and perform root cause analysis
Collaborate with management and business partners to identify and respond to channel fraud risk (i.e. gray market and counterfeit risk, special pricing and promotional abuse, etc.)
Formulate, communicate, and maintain Channel Compliance audit policies and procedures
Collaborate with other corporate compliance functions (internal audit, Global Ethics & Compliance, Finance, Legal, etc.) to facilitate comprehensive business assurance
Undertake special projects and assignments at the request of the Director Brand Protection
Oversee third party service providers in alignment with corporate policy and IT strategy
Work closely with internal groups and outside counsel and other external parties and third-party vendors
Act as a leader to education the organization on complexities of brand protection efforts
Maintain protection of Avaya's interests while balancing impact with business goals in global market
May act as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function
Strong ability to communicate effectively - superior consulting, influence, and negotiation skills
Expertise in audit standards and applications
Expertise in spreadsheet/data analytics
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency working with various systems and databases
Microsoft Suite proficient (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Visio, Access)
SAP and other applications working knowledge
Understanding of IT security principles
Strong understanding and experience of channel go to market and relations
Proven results in a subscription services business model
In-depth experience in software licensing technology and systems development, management, or audit
Solid understanding of audit principles and practice, including fraud risk management.
Detailed understanding of fraud examination and forensic accounting techniques.
Experience building strategic working relationships. Customer focus, team player, curious, logical, results driven, quick applied learner, demonstrates initiative, work in dynamic and changing environment, stress tolerance and flexible.
Ability to anticipate and takes initiative to identify customer concerns and proposes recommendations as appropriate.
