The Vice President, Technology Enablement will lead all of our IT functional areas in the support of our employees and clients. Providing strategic leadership to ensure systems and technologies meet the varied needs of all constituencies reliably is critical, especially during this period of rapid growth. Our dispersed population and client base, which span the globe, rely on our technology to enable greater efficiencies and facilitate critical business functions. This newly created position will be based in our corporate headquarters in Falls Church, VA reporting to our CTO.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will perform the following functions:

  • Develop and deploy technology roadmap to enable company strategic priorities
    • Develop a deep understanding of company current and future needs related to productivity, client support, system security, expansion, etc..
    • Build strong partnerships inside and outside of IT with a focus on collaboration and direct communication, through consultative approach with ability to serve as an advisor of technologies
    • Works in a consultative fashion with other department heads, such as marketing, production and operations as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Serve as the Senior IT leader to direct the overall infrastructure and the platform strategy of the company through active participation with management, external service organizations, and vendors.
    • Conducts research and case studies on leading edge technologies and makes determinations on the probability of implementation. Research and propose new technologies that yield competitive advantage.
    • Identifying areas where technology may provide greater efficiencies and ensure business continuity/security
    • Continuously evaluate technical efficiency and recommend changes as necessary. Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies.
  • Provide leadership to department heads in a fashion that supports the company's culture, mission and values.
    • Develop a multi-year plan for starting-up, ramping-up and scaling-up IT organization. Including the roles, responsibilities, and skills required for such an organization.
    • Manage the performance of the team. Identifying development needs and a plan to develop the skills of the organization to meet evolving needs.
    • Annual planning, budgeting, status reporting, presentations and continuous improvement.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technology, engineering or related field; MBA/MS in a related field preferred
  • 10-15 years progressive Information Technology experience; 5-10 years management and strategic experience
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Strong bias for action and willingness to get involved in every stage of the discovery process
  • Exhibits strong customer-focus mindset (both internal and external) with ability to collaborate effectively and follow up to ensure achievement of deadlines, outcomes, and results
  • Strong business acumen with knowledge and experience in technologies role in contributing to profitability with an understanding of the relationship between business and corporate level technology strategy
  • Demonstrated success in assessing issues regarding information systems and creating manageable solutions
  • Experience applying contemporary business principles integral to a high-tech organization with an ability to navigate through data management complexities in a global business environment


Other Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be willing to participate in and pass the company's pre-employment screening process including a background investigation and drug screening.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet state licensing requirements for security, as well as client background and suitability screening when required to access client's data and/or site.
