Business Analyst - Global Reference Lab Information Systems

As a Business Analyst on the Global Reference Labs Information Systems product team, you will work closely with our global reference laboratories subject matter experts, as well as our technical teams, to manage the mapping of data from multiple legacy LIMS systems to a new global LIMS ecosystem. You'll analyze business data, goals, objectives and needs and make recommendations and changes to ensure a smooth transition to the new ecosystem for our reference laboratories and customers.

The Global Reference Lab Information Systems department provides product management, business analysis, and system administrator support for the suite of software applications that make up our Global Laboratory Information Ecosystem. Supported applications include custom internally developed solutions as well as third party purchased software packages.

In This Role

• You'll partner cross-functionally with a range of stakeholders across the business and the globe to analyze data from legacy LIMS systems and will develop plans/processes to map and migrate that data to system(s) in the new global LIMS ecosystem.


• You'll work closely with the business and IT to identify user information requirements and to identify opportunities to support critical business strategies and to improve business processes through meaningful standardization of data and processes.


• Your day-to-day will include performing analysis within the business, and also analyzing other projects and programs in the reference labs ecosystem to identify and address/mitigate impacts on the data migration process.

What You Will Need to Succeed

• You have a proven track record of working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical resources.


• You are very comfortable analyzing data and identifying opportunities to drive meaningful standardization of data and processes regionally and/or globally.


• You have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to identify and resolve issues.


• You're able to present and translate technical subject matter to non-technical audiences.


• You should be highly organized with the ability to manage and prioritize several projects simultaneously, while simultaneously working both collaboratively as well as independently.


• You are agile and can work well in environments where objectives and priorities are reviewed and assessed regularly.
