We have an opportunity for an Accountant to join our team. You will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of various financial related reports. This role has the potential to work remote with some onsite meetings as needed. This role is open to Chicago or Raleigh based candidates.

You will:

• Reconcile various Balance Sheet accounts to General Ledger.


• Identify and execute process improvements across multiple tasks in the finance process.


• Forecast and present to leadership.


• Develop, recommend for approval, implement, monitor, and maintain and distribute accounting plans, procedures, and policies.


• Work closely with month end closing activities.


• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial transactions to the General Ledger.


• Perform month-end account reconciliations with accuracy and on a timely basis.


• Provide proactive analysis and support to the finance team.


• Ensure that relevant internal control requirements are met and comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act


• Ensure that the company meets or exceed Federal, State, and Local governmental laws, ordinances, and regulations in all areas of responsibility.


• Audit your own performance and be proactive in setting your own objectives and standards of performance.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.


• 2 plus years of professional accounting experience, manufacturing or services preferred.


• Have advanced Excel capabilities.


• Have experience utilizing a large ERP (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards...).


• Have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from finance leadership.


• Experience utilizing SAP, QAD, or JDE

Travel:

• The employee may travel periodically to other company sites for training.
