The mailing and scanning clerk sorts and adds incoming mail-via hand-and ensures that it is delivered to the depositors in a timely fashion according to a set procedure.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pick up mail from USPS and corporate office
Sort the mail by center
Add the mail by center, distribute to the depositors
Scanning incoming mail to program for everyone to access
Process patient credit cards
Sort mail by department, location or category (e.g. correspondence, payments, refunds)
Stamp date of receipt on appropriate documents
Collect and prepare correspondence to be mailed (e.g. applying appropriate stamps, verifying addresses)
Correct and re-forward misdirected mail
Research missing EOBs and other documents needed
Attend in-services, seminars and webinars for additional education and performance improvement.
Regular and reliable attendance required
Other duties as assigned.

Experience with mail sorting and postage meter machines is a plus
Multitasking: The clerk will be more efficient in his/her work if he/she can take on various tasks at the same time and complete them without errors
