Job Description:

Position Title: Manager Operational Finance (Finance Ambassador)

Position Summary

The Manager supports the operational leadership in business case development, long term financial management, and strategic initiatives. The Manager is responsible for overseeing staff that supports cost center leaders with their quarterly and annual budget preparation and forecasting. The Manager also assists with other ad hoc analysis as requested. This position reports directly to the Director Financial Planning and Analysis - Divisional Controller.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Provide strategic guidance and sound business decision support to cost center leaders through proper financial analysis, collaboration and critical thinking

* Partner in departmental RFP's and business case development

* Drive departmental operating and capital forecasting (short and long term), ensuring all department forecasts are accurately represented within the enterprise forecast and associated processes

* Assist with contract review with focus on financial & commercial terms and risk mitigation

* Create education/awareness and facilitate the utilization of our Corporate policies and procedures including: Business Case Approvals, Contract Review, Disclosure Controls, Procurement/Supply Chain, Related Party Transactions, Signature Authorization, Travel and Expense Reimbursement

* Promote communication and collaboration between the operational department and other workgroups

* Identify and implement cost saving opportunities and analyze productivity trends

* Perform ad hoc analysis requested by senior leaders

* Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support the engagement, growth, goal achievement and development

* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent discipline

* Five (5) years of analytical and/or budgeting experience

* Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite; Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

* Excellent communication and analytical skills

* Ability to interact daily with people at different levels within the organization, including developing and maintaining ongoing relationships

* Comfortable making presentations to senior leaders

* Available for occasional overnight travel (15%)

* Pass a ten (10) year background check (may include credit check) and pre-employment drug test

* Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's of Business Administration (MBA)

* Providing high-quality customer service in a matrix structure with a commitment to meeting or exceeding expectations

* VBA/Macros Excel coding and editing skills

* Experience in big data analytics

Crewmember Expectations:

* Regular attendance and punctuality

* Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

* Well groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

* When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

* Organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion, and Fun

* Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue's Safety Management System

* Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))

* Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls

* Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
