Job Description:

Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Purpose:

Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, theFacilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day maintenance, repair and cleaning of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment. Provide assistance and support to manufacturing operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Monitor and ensure the integrity and functionality of critical systems such as: fire suppression, sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, electrical, HVAC systems, elevators, etc.


  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations.


  • Institute and supervise preventative maintenance programs, ensure assigned employees are trained in job functions.


  • Participate in interviews, employment, discharge of employees, conduct performance appraisals, recommend raises.


  • Provide leadership, direction, and work assignments to Facilities Maintenance Technicians and Janitorial staff for 3 shifts.


  • Process internal Requisitions for all materials/parts.


  • Support contractors when onsite doing repairs.


  • Use CMMS to document and schedule maintenance tasks and manage inventory safety stock of all required parts; HVAC filters, belts, relays, etc.


  • Provide list of repairs needed both inside & outside facility to support Maintenance Project List.


  • Schedule PM's and equipment repairs with appropriate department manager(s).


  • Provide off shift support (on call 24hr) for all facility required maintenance.


  • Partner with the leadership team to manage all aspects of performance and development of direct reports to encourage professional growth.


  • Oversee the timely implementation of preventative maintenance procedures to maintain efficiency and safety of operations.


  • Assist and serve as an alternate to the management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.


  • Source quotes for any repairs unable to be done in-house.


  • Work with facilities team to prioritize requests.


  • Sustains and maintains 5s standards.


Work Experience Requirements:

Minimum 6 years facilities maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.

Education Requirements:

Associates degree or more in an applicable technical or engineering field. An equivalent combination of professional work experience and related education will be considered in place of a degree.

Knowledge Requirements:


  • Familiarity of industrial controls and equipment.


  • Proven ability in leadership, purchasing, budgets, administration, maintenance procedures, project management, vendor relations, data collection and analysis and safety.


  • Strong organizational skills.
