Job Description:

Creating Long-Term Value Thru Relentless Innovation

We are currently seeking an Operations Leader for our Brackenridge, PA, melt shop which is located approximately 20 miles north of Pittsburgh. The Brackenridge Melt shop has a multi-step manufacturing process to cast metal into slabs or ingots that are used in a variety of industries. Our facility has two 110 ton Electric Arc Furnaces and a 120 ton Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD) vessel. The raw materials used in the melting process are coarse stainless steel scrap, turnings and slag formers. After initial melting the metal is transferred to the AOD vessel where it is subjected to three steps of refining: decarburization, reduction, and desulphurization. The AOD operation also involves refining, stirring and tapping the heat in a teeming ladle. This Operations Leader is responsible for leading a diverse, represented hourly workforce in day-to-day problem solving and troubleshooting efforts, as well as, interacting with all levels of management on a wide range of business issues. Candidates should have a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a highly motivated team environment.
