Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for upkeep of HRIS system, including processing of new hires/rehires, property to property transfers, personal changes, position/salary (not merit) changes, performance review/salary changes and , status changes while maintaining all employment and termination files. Responsible for supervising the execution of processing new hires/rehires and personal changes as well as the administration of employment verifications and employee referral and hiring bonuses. Also supervises the execution of accurate and timely filing of paperwork and I-9 information and Cognos ad-hoc report generation.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, Word, Excel, and Access required.
  • College degree, Business, Personal Administration or comparable work experience preferred.
  • Previous Human Resources experience preferred.
  • Ability to compile, compute, and analyze pertinent data needed for reports.
  • Must be able to type 45 wpm.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to take initiative, be detail oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Must possess excellent telephone etiquette skills, customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Must be willing and able to learn new skills and tasks quickly.
  • Must be able to get along will with co-workers and adjust to the needs of the department.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:


  • Serves as a liaison between the property and HRSC to ensure accurate and timely submission of HR online forms.
  • Services as a trainer for department managers and supervisors regarding use and understanding of HR e-forms.
  • Responsible for the monitoring of ADP 8850 Tax Credit eligibility and complete necessary forms.
  • Audits and submits all HRSC e-forms to corporate relating to status changes (non-FMLA), re-hire, position changes, 90 day performance reviews, and personal changes.
  • Processes New Hires via Hodes.
  • Processes POWER (Employee Referral ) bonus checks.
  • Ensures that all necessary background, motor vehicle, and drug tests are completed.
  • Ensures that all 8850 Tax Credit, I-9, and Direct Deposit forms are completed.
  • Accurately enters data into the HRIS system related to Racing, Responsible Vendor, ABO, and Gaming licenses.
  • Assists in the analysis and evaluation of each position to assure wage and salary level in commensurate with job duties and responsibilities and that proper wage and salary.
  • Creates, runs, and distributes monthly department reports and specially requested reports for various departments as requested.
  • Responsible for all Human Resource data entry: new hires, transfers, wages, performance reviews, address changes, name changes, etc.
  • Oversees the maintenance of employee files.
  • Ensures timely filing of employee records.
  • Interacts with other employees, applicants, outside suppliers, and vendors as a role model.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Ability to act as a role model and present oneself as a credit to Caesars and encourage others to do the same.
  • Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Responds to all employee and applicant inquiries in a courteous and professional manner within 24 hours of receiving the call.
  • Ability to develop relationships with departments and management to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Responsible for the daily backup and record keeping for HRIS and Licensing.
  • Complete paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Supervises workload, coaches, and develops HR File Clerk.
  • Assists with Performance Reviews.
  • Provides for safety and security.
  • Recommends disciplinary action or disciplines employees.
  • Supervises and monitors work.
  • Monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
