Job Description:

Mechanical Assembler I

Following written instructions assembles a variety of components to produce sub-assemblies or finished product that meet requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operate most production equipment.


• Trains other employees as required.


• Read blue prints and utilize various measurement devices such as calipers, micrometer, etc.


• Checks own work for proper assembly.


• Follows all cGMP manufacturing requirements.


• Observes all safety rules and regulations including the wearing of protective equipment when required.


• Prints labels and packages a variety of products or sub-assemblies following established procedures.


• Accurately completes all necessary documentation associated with production.


• Must be willing and able to continually rotate through a variety of manufacturing processes, performing all types of tasks in a cell/team environment.


• Sustains and maintains 5S standards and all continuous improvement activities.

Requirements:

• A minimum two years experience, preferable in a mechanical assembly operation.


• Must be able to stand for up to eight hours per day, ability to move about, bends, stoops, uses hands and lift up to 35 pounds unassisted. Unaided visual acuity or corrected visual acuity should be at least 20/40 in each eye at infinity (20 feet) with the ability to distinguish colors.
