Mechanical Engineers at PEC must be technically competent in the following areas:
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system design
Computerized analysis of heating and cooling loads
Indoor air quality
Infrastructure including central steam and chilled water system design
Energy analysis using computer modeling and comparison of life cycle cost.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Mentoring of design and drafting staff.
Project development and project management.
Coordination of staffing needs for projects.
Candidate will design and engineer HVAC and plumbing systems.
Candidate will be responsible for production of construction documents and construction administration for projects.
Evaluation of mechanical systems.
Report preparation and presentation to clients.
Qualifications and Skills:
B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an accredited college.
Minimum 10 years' experience in mechanical design of commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.
Preferred experience in the healthcare and/or industrial market sectors in the Kansas City area.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for client contact.
Ability to organize and handle multiple project assignments.
Revit skills desirable.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
