Flexible Operator C - LFB, 1st Shift

Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers challenging lighting and image transmission solutions for applications in the markets of automotive, aviation, medical devices, as well as industrial and safety engineering. With production units in Europe, North-America and the worldwide SCHOTT sales organization Lighting and Imaging is a leading supplier for fiber optic components.

Your Tasks

• Perform a variety of assignments and work functions in the LFB operation as directed by the technical supervisor.


• Perform and become competent in from 1 to 3 of the processes used to manufacture leach fiber bundle. Complete labor sheets, routers, log sheets, process forms and similar reports and forms.


• Perform basic maintenance on production machinery and equipment.


• Follow established process specifications and procedures.


• Observe all safety rules and regulations.


• Comply with all company policies and procedures.


• Maintain housekeeping practices per departmental 5S program.


• Meet utilization targets and standard times.


• Accurately enter Database/SAP transactions in the computer.


• Maintain daily records, including labor sheets and routers.

Your Profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.


• 1-3 years' experience on the job or in a manufacturing field.


• Good manual dexterity and excellent hand/eye coordination.


• Effective communication skills both verbal and written.


• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.


• Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide).


• Ability to work in a team oriented environment.


• Due to the nature of work performed at our facility, U.S. Person status is required.
