If you are a software engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Bradenton, Florida location, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of Emerson’s industry leading Operation Management Platform (Syncade Suite).  Our web-based platform manages and optimizes manufacturing processes for some of the most dynamic companies in the Life Sciences and Chemical industries. Your specific responsibilities will include the development of new, responsive web-based solutions and the evolution of legacy web applications targeting the latest best practices.  Combine your excellent development skills with self-motivation, attention to detail, and ingenuity and you will thrive in our multifaceted and dynamic team.
 
AS A SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER, YOU WILL: 

• Design and develop quality, secure, easy to use, high-performance web-based solutions


• Design and develop easy-to-use human interface applications


• C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET, HTML5, .NET framework application development


• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues


• Collaborate and thrive in a multi-faceted and dynamic work environment

You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. You evaluate pros and cons, risks and benefits of different solution options. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
 

• B.S. degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or Computer Science


• 4 years of experience in software development


• Ability to effectively communicate abstract concepts both verbally and written


• UI development experience required


• JavaScript frameworks and libraries (at least one of these: Angular, Aurelia, jQuery, Knockout, Prototype, React, etc.)


• Experience with Microsoft development tools

• ASP.NET core experience is a strong plus


• Experience with Entity Framework, SQL Server, and/or WIX a strong plus


• Process control and/or real-time software experience is also a plus


• Full software lifecycle experience


• Experience with Agile development process highly desirable
