Requisition Summary

Dedicated Belts are change agents for innovation and process improvement. They actively foster creative thinking and a healthy environment of Continuous Improvement (CI). They mentoremployees in problem solving techniques. Dedicated Belts work as business partners with the department managers and senior staff to lead key improvement projects and to help achieve the needs of the business.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

In this role, some of the responsibility you will be doing are:


  • Mentor project leaders and managers in fact based decision making and leading small teams.

  • Lead and participate in CI projects with cross-functional teams, to implement innovative improvements.

  • Work with division leaders to align Lean and DMAIC projects with division business objectives.

  • Manage the CI project portfolio for your area of responsibility. Provide analysis and status.

  • Assist with formal training, which may include the instruction of classes and class logistics.

  • Potential travel up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications

You'll need to come with the following background


  • Desire to drive change and to help people grow

  • High energy level, self-starter with willingness to learn new ideas

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

  • High potential individual, viewed as a leader

  • Strong quantitative and problem solving skills

  • Proficiency with Minitab statistical software, data mining and other technologies (Tableau)

  • Experience leading and successfully closing projects

Additional experience would be appreciated:


  • Excellent with people, building relationships and motivating them

  • Understanding of various departments (Plant, Office, etc.)

  • PACCAR-Certified Black Belt
