Job Summary

The Fabricator under moderate supervision will, effectively prepare, utilize various industrial hand tools to grind, de-deburr major sub-assemblies and other parts of aircraft in production made according to specifications and schedule requirements.

Job Responsibilities

* Maintains safety as a top priority.

* Fabricator will grinding, de-burring, cutting using full range of applications, methods, and materials.

* Surface preparations, grinding, de-burring, and measuring per the manufacturing methods to the customer specifications.

* Perform layout and masking as necessary.

* Ability to accurately check product thickness with measuring instruments.

* Performs other miscellaneous activities in support of production.

* Maintain a neat and orderly work area, Supports the company 5S and Lean Initiatives Programs and complies with safety regulations.

* Cleans and maintains all fabricators equipment and painting areas.

* Records time spent and materials used.

* Assists other fabricator when needed.

* Follow shop order work instructions

* Read blue prints and follow customer specifications and be detail oriented.

* Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* High School diploma or equivalent GED.

* 1+ years of manufacturing and/or industrial work experience

* 1+ years of Painting and/or paint preparation experience (EX: auto body, hard surface prep/repair/paint).

* 1+ Years of experience with tools, equipment, and materials used in painting trade and methods of mixing paint colors.

Preferred Qualifications:

* GKN Experience

* Aerospace Experience

* Ability to work any shift
