About the Role:

This role will be reporting to the Tax Accounting Tax Director and support our global tax reporting, income tax compliance and financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and review key aspects of ASC 740 global income tax provision calculations for quarterly and annual SEC filings including but not limited to GAAP & Non-GAAP effective tax rate, ASC 718 calculations, tax reserves related to uncertain tax positions (ASC 740-10 & FAS 5), valuation allowance, forecast of the AETR, cash tax rate, accounts reconciliation, quarterly analytics, journal entries, footnote disclosures, etc.


  • Research complex tax issues and draft tax memorandum for documentation


  • Monitor tax legislation and accounting standard updates and perform relevant tax impact analysis


  • Implement and maintain an appropriate level of internal control and documentation on a quarterly basis in compliance with SOX 404 requirements


  • Assist with US federal and state income and franchise tax returns, quarterly estimates and extensions


  • Support the tax department in managing tax audits, tax notices, IDRs, etc.


  • Supervise and train senior tax analyst on various tax assignments


  • Perform other tax related duties and assist with special projects as required


  • Identify opportunities for process improvement; leverage automation to drive efficiency and effectiveness both independently and through collaboration with other tax and technology specialists


  • Collaborate across corporate finance, legal, treasury, human resources and other functional groups within the organization with respect to tax strategies and projects


Qualifications:


  • Minimum 6+ years of corporate tax experience with public accounting firm and/or high technology corporate tax department and strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 740


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, strong accounting skills; MST or CPA a plus


  • Strong computer skills utilizing MS Office; OneSource income tax provision; knowledge of Oracle, Essbase and Business Objects a plus


  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, professionally curious and detail-oriented


  • Must be collaborative and team-oriented personality; able to build and foster professional relationships within the organization


  • Excellent workpaper skills that result in audit ready documentation


  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and see projects through completion


  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills enabling effective cross-functional communication
