POSITION SUMMARY
Working in conjunction with Client Relationship Managers, the Operations Specialist 4 supports our clients by being responsible for a wide variety of internal operations. Operations Specialist 4 will be measured on their ability to complete processing and reconciliation work accurately and timely. Operations Specialist 4 will also be utilized to work on internal projects as needed.
OPERATIONS SPECIALIST 4 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete processing, QC, and confirm distributions and loans
Complete processing, QC, and confirm payrolls
Process qualified domestic relations orders
Calculation of required minimum distributions
Preparation of annual notices
Perform compliance testing on 457b plans
Support year-end processing responsibilities related to compliance testing and 5500 processing including large plan 5500 filing
Perform new comparability allocations, age-weighted contribution allocations, and complex plan design compliance testing
Process self-directed brokerage and balance forward valuations
Earned income calculations
Achieve assigned goals related to turnaround times and accuracy
Communicate significant issues and exceptions to an appropriate higher level of authority within the organization in a timely manner
Actively participate in process improvement
Support Misc. Project work as needed
BASIC/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) in accounting or business, or equivalent business experience
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite
4-6 years of retirement administration experience in a professional environment where processing and/or reconciliation has been the focus or banking experience
Experience with databases and data management
Knowledge of payroll processing, and payroll deductions as they relate to retirement plans
Knowledge of general retirement plan administration
Team player, willing to help where needed
Self-motivated, eager to learn and grow
Pro-active innovative thinker
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with M-Files or FT Williams
Experience with reconciliation processes
Ability to effectively assess risk
