RCS Consultant, Kroger Customer Success

What will I be doing?


You will support our Kroger account in Cincinnati, OH. When IRI employees begin returning to the office at a timeframe to be determined in 2021, this role will have onsite requirements. You will drive manufacturer client success at Kroger by working collaboratively to enhance value and deliver growth.


Responsibilities:



  • Support exceeding revenue and favorable data contract terms through quality delivery of solutions, reporting, and insights

  • Utilize POS, Consumer Panel, and eCommerce data sets to present fact-based arguments influencing decision making of retailer merchandising teams

  • Consult with manufacturer and retail clients on a full-range of IRI solutions, including custom projects

  • Serve as the key contact and subject-matter-expert for manufacturer clients participating in the Kroger Gateway program

  • Coordinate and execute high quality on-going analytic and ad-hoc requests

  • Utilize creativity in identifying new techniques and processes

  • Understands dynamics of retailer relationship; balances IRI's role of purchaser of data and provider of data from an economic and relationship perspective

  • Maintains an ability to keep manufacturer and retailer perspective in mind at all times; able to think through multiple divergent paths and understand the implications on the client and IRI

  • Work as a strategic partner with an IRI client, serving as a leader of this critical relationship

  • Build rapid rapport with key client contacts and across functions within the IRI organization matrices

  • Serve as a passionate advocate for the client in order to build their businesses; this may involve advocating a sales strategy in a challenging environment

  • Act as liaison for the IRI Diversity Advantage Program at Kroger

  • Leads effective problem solving with client and internal team

  • Develop and implement training plans for manufacturer clients

  • Structures and manages teamwork flow; leads deck development and delivery

  • Create indispensable, long-term, solution-focused consultative partnerships

  • Use a systematic approach to solving problems that involve breaking them into smaller pieces, tracking the implications of situations, generating multiple alternatives, and making comparisons of potential solutions before acting


Qualifications:



  • 7+ years of experience with syndicated data, analytics, eCommerce, category management, or related fields is required

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred

  • Deep knowledge of the retail domain (Food, Drug, Mass) and the channel-relevant issues

  • Marketing and/or sales analytics experience with a CPG company, Retailer, or other CPG industry companies using syndicated data

  • Demonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into relevant implications

  • Experience with syndicated data is required

  • Strong project management and process skills

  • Ability to engage in a consultative manner with clients when helping solve/manage content deliverables

  • Ability to build and leverage mutually beneficial relationships internally and externally

  • Demonstrated planning, leadership, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into relevant implications

  • Strong understanding of client issues
